How to Join or Renew - by mail or on-line:
If paying by check, print, complete,& mail your 2015 NEKBA membership form or 2015 Bee Class Registration .
Submit your payment: via on-line using PayPal,or print & mail your check & completed form. You do not have to have a PayPal account to use the service. Sorry, on-line payment service is not available thru mobile phone devices.
Don't miss a single issue of either bee magazine publication. Use the mail-in form and send your payment to the association treasurer. Better and faster, go to either Bee Culture.com or American Bee Journal to subscribe for 2015. $ave over the new stand price and stay abreast of what is happening in the bee world.

Save a stamp, check, and envelope by renewing on-line. Or print the form and mail it in. Either way your membership does means a lot! To save resources we will send your monthly newsletter by email unless you specify you'd rather have it mailed to your street address via USPS.

The on-line pricing selections for magazine subscriptions are slightly higher than paying by check to cover on-line convenience as subscriptions are forwarded on. Other options to include special beekeeping events such as the Bee Fun Day will be added as soon as we have worked out pricing, schedule, forms and are able to accept registrations on-line.

Magazine subscription are submitted at the end of each month. NEKBA memberships are submitted to the Editor prior to the deadline for the monthly newsletter. Kansas Honey Producer Assn (KHPA) memberships are forwarded monthly. KHPA is our state affiliate. Both associations are non-profit, educational, organizations, served by dedicated volunteers. Come join us! Your support helps to cover costs: newsletter, printing, paper, supplies, postage, insurance, fees, and events. We are non-profit educational.
Our membership has been growing steadily for several years. At the end of 2014, we are printing and mailing over 323+ monthly newsletters. We are emailing to 200+ of our members. Electronic delivery of the monthly newsletter has been a huge savings and great effort on conserving resources. Thank you for your support! Get the monthly newsletter via email and in color. About the Association
The association is serviced by an All-Volunteer staff, specialized in honey bees and beekeeping. Do you have time, skills, and/or experience and desire to serve? Know or learning about honey bees? Let us know!
NEKBA membership is open to anyone interested in bees or bee culture. Dues are $15 annually. Additional members of the family wanting voting privileges shall be assessed dues at $1.00 per year. Youth memberships (18 years of age and younger) are $7.50 per year. Memberships are submitted to the Treasurer.
The association is a not-for-profit IRC 501(c)5 agricultural-educational organization, run by dedicated volunteers, and supported by membership dues. The IRC status means that the association is a tax-exempt organization. While donations are always welcome, they are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. However, membership dues and subscriptions may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business or trade expenses. Please consult your tax advisor.
The Bee Buzzer, our monthly newsletter, is the official publication of the Northeastern Kansas Beekeepers' Association, Inc. (NEKBA) and is published monthly. Commercial ads are accepted in the newsletter for a fee, non-commercial ads by members are accepted free for charge.
NEKBA Library of beekeeping books
Our library of extensive beekeeping books is one of our greatest benefits. The association library is free to all members. We have a large selection of related beekeeping books. The library is one of our biggest benefits. Books may be checked out at meetings and kept for a period of 30 days.
The honey bee trade publications, The American Bee Journal and Bee Culture can be subscribed directly via the links provide or through the Treasurer. As an association member, the American Bee Journal is offered at a 25% discount.
The Association meets each month, generally, on the 3rd Monday at 7:00 p.m. except during the months of March, June, and August. Please visit our "Meeting Schedule" page for details.
A beekeeping class is held in March. This is a non profit organization; elected officers serve without pay. Everyone is invited to attend the meeting. Check "The Buzzer" each month for the actual date, time and location. If the weather is bad, call an officer to find out if the meeting will be held.
