2010 Master Beekeeping Workshop

A 3-day Master Beekeeping Workshop will be

offered in Ithaca, Nebraska at the Agricultural

Research and Development Center Headquarters

Building on June 10-12. This workshop will

provide detailed instruction bee biology and

practical beekeeping. Training will include both

classroom and hands-on sessions. Registration

for the workshop is $100 and includes 5 meals, a

workbook, a cap and refreshments. The hands-on

sessions will be in an apiary, and participants

should bring their own protective gear. For a

Missouri Vineyard Pruning Workshop

Join University of Missouri Extension and The MU

Institute for Continental Climate Viticulture and

Enology for a hands-on vineyard pruning

workshop on

February 17 at the Platte County Extension Center.

Grapevine pruning is an important cultural practice

which impacts yield, disease incidence, fruit
 
composition
and wine quality. This workshop will

provide an
opportunity to learn proper pruning

techniques and gain
practical experience. The

cost of the pruning
workshop is $25 per person

which includes a networking lunch.
